The skills recognition element will enable workers to have their current skill competencies mapped and validated against national standards. The Taskforce has engaged 15 Registered Training Providers to assess and validate the worker’s skills.
Through the Career Advice and Transition Services (CATS) and the Skills Recognition Response, workers will identify the training required to increase their employability. Once workers have determined the training that fits with their Career Plan, they will need to complete the Automotive Workers in Transition Program ‘Training Request Form’.
Training will be approved through the Taskforce to minimise any out of pocket costs for the worker.
Please contact the Automotive Transformation Taskforce team on 1800 774 010 to talk to one of the team or book into an information session regarding the Automotive Workers in Transition Program.
The Commonwealth Scholarships Program for South Australia offers support for a minimum of 1200 undergraduate, postgraduate and vocational education and training students to undertake study, training and internships in South Australia.
